Legal
These Terms & Conditions govern all projects undertaken by MRC Production outside of third-party platforms. By proceeding with payment, the client confirms they have read, understood, and accepted every clause contained herein. These Terms apply in full to every order unless a specific written exception has been agreed upon in advance by both parties.
MRC Production specializes exclusively in electronic music, with primary focus on:
MRC Production reserves the right to decline any request that does not align with its production expertise or artistic direction, at any stage prior to payment. Once payment has been received and the project brief accepted, the scope is considered confirmed.
All projects follow this sequence. Each step must be completed before the next begins.
Step 1 — Initial Contact
The client contacts MRC Production via email or the inquiry form on mrcproduction.com, describing the desired service, genre, and any relevant references.
Step 2 — Scope Agreement
MRC Production confirms availability, discusses the project details, and provides a final price. No work is scheduled until scope and price are agreed upon in writing (email or direct message).
Step 3 — Payment
The client receives a Stripe payment link and completes payment in full. Work is not scheduled until payment is confirmed. See §4 for details.
Step 4 — Project Brief
Within 48 hours of payment, the client submits the Project Brief, including all required materials and information as detailed in §8. The production timeline begins only upon receipt of a complete and usable brief, not from the date of payment.
Step 5 — First Preview
MRC Production delivers a first preview of the track or mix within the timeframe specified in §3. This preview constitutes official first delivery and triggers the terms of the Refund Policy (§6).
Step 6 — Creative Alignment Phase
After the first preview, the client may provide feedback, direction, and requests for changes freely. This phase exists to ensure the final version is fully aligned with the client's vision before it is considered complete. Exchanges during this phase — including requests to adjust sounds, structure, arrangement, or mix balance — do not count as formal revisions. See §5 for the full definition of this phase and its limits.
Step 7 — Final Delivery
Once MRC Production and the client have agreed that the track is complete, MRC Production delivers the final version. This delivery marks the start of the formal revision window as defined in §5. Rights transfer takes effect upon delivery of the final files and confirmation of full payment.
Step 8 — Formal Revisions
After final delivery, the client may request formal revisions within the limits defined in §5. Each revision round must consist of a single, consolidated list of feedback.
| Service | First Preview Delivered Within |
|---|---|
| Ghost Production/Remix | 5 business days from receipt of complete brief |
| Finishing Your Track | 5 business days from receipt of complete brief |
| Mastering | 2 business days from receipt of complete brief |
These timelines are standard estimates. Actual delivery may vary slightly depending on project complexity. MRC Production will communicate any delay proactively.
A priority delivery option is available at an additional flat fee of €25, subject to availability. This option must be requested and confirmed before payment — it cannot be added retroactively.
MRC Production typically responds within 24 business hours. Response times may vary depending on workload and time zone differences. This window applies to all communication: feedback, file delivery, and general correspondence.
If the client does not submit a complete Project Brief within 7 days of payment, the project will be placed on hold. If no brief is received within 30 days of payment, the order will be cancelled and a refund will be issued per the terms of §6, treating the project as cancelled before production began.
The production process is divided into two distinct phases with different rules: the Creative Alignment Phase and the Formal Revision Phase. Understanding the difference between these two phases is essential.
After the first preview is delivered, the client enters the Creative Alignment Phase. During this phase, the client is encouraged to provide open and iterative feedback to guide the direction of the track toward the desired result.
Requests during this phase may include:
None of these exchanges count as formal revisions. There is no limit on the number of feedback rounds during this phase. The goal is to reach a version that both parties consider complete and ready for final delivery.
This phase ends when MRC Production and the client mutually agree — explicitly or implicitly — that the track is ready to be finalized. At that point, MRC Production delivers the Final Version, which opens the Formal Revision Phase.
Formal revisions begin after the Final Version has been delivered. At this stage, the track is considered complete, and revisions are intended to address specific, targeted adjustments — not creative exploration.
A formal revision is a minor, specific adjustment to the final delivered version, including:
Formal revisions do not include:
If a request falls outside the scope of a formal revision, MRC Production will communicate this and provide a separate quote before proceeding.
| Service | Free Formal Revisions Included |
|---|---|
| Ghost Production | 3 |
| Mixing | 3 |
| Mastering | 3 |
The exact number of included revisions is confirmed in the order summary sent after payment.
Each revision round consists of one single, consolidated feedback message. Multiple separate messages sent after a revision has already begun may each count as a separate revision request. Clients are encouraged to collect all feedback before sending.
Once included revisions are exhausted, each additional revision request is subject to a fee of €5–€20, depending on complexity and service type. This fee must be agreed upon and paid before work begins.
Requests for alternative versions (extended mix, radio edit, instrumental, acappella, etc.) are subject to an export or production fee of €5–€20 per version, depending on scope.
Requests to re-export a file are not counted as revisions if the re-export is required due to a technical error, oversight, or failure on MRC Production's part to follow the agreed brief. In such cases, the corrected file is delivered at no additional cost.
All formal revision requests — whether included or paid — must be submitted within 10 days of final delivery and in any case no later than 30 days from the project start date (defined as the date the complete brief was received). After these windows have passed, no further revisions will be accepted unless agreed upon in writing, and additional fees may apply.
MRC Production handles refunds with fairness and transparency. Because this is a personalized creative service, the refund structure is governed by two sequential milestones: the delivery of the first preview, and the explicit or implicit approval of that preview.
| Project Status | Refund |
|---|---|
| Cancelled before the first preview is delivered | 100% |
| Cancelled after the first preview is delivered, but before it is approved | 50% |
| Cancelled after the first preview has been approved | 0% |
The first preview is delivered when MRC Production sends the initial audio file to the client. At this point, significant creative time has already been invested. If the client chooses to cancel after receiving the preview, a 50% refund is issued. The client forfeits all rights to the delivered material (see Rights Upon Refund below).
The first preview is considered approved when one of the following occurs:
Once the preview is approved — explicitly or implicitly — the project enters the Creative Alignment Phase and no refund will be issued for any subsequent cancellation, regardless of the reason.
The only mechanism by which a client can cancel after preview delivery and still receive a 50% refund (rather than 0%) is by raising a formal written objection within 48 hours of delivery. A valid objection must:
If MRC Production confirms the objection is valid, the client may choose between:
If the objection is not confirmed as valid (i.e. the preview does reflect the agreed brief), the project continues and the standard refund structure applies. MRC Production will communicate this assessment in writing within 48 hours of receiving the objection.
Refunds will not be granted on the basis of subjective dissatisfaction if the work has been delivered in accordance with the agreed brief and references. In such cases, the client may request additional revisions at the rates defined in §5.
In rare and exceptional circumstances, MRC Production reserves the right to cancel an order at any stage due to unforeseen personal circumstances or if the project is later found to fall outside the agreed artistic scope. In such cases:
Refund requests must be submitted within 10 days of first preview delivery. All approved refunds are processed via the original payment method within 7 business days of approval.
If a refund — whether full or partial — is issued, no rights to any delivered material are transferred. The client is not authorized to use, distribute, publish, monetize, or share any part of the work delivered up to that point, in any form.
Upon final delivery of all project files and confirmation that full payment has been received, all rights to the produced work — including composition, arrangement, sound design, and audio files — are exclusively and irrevocably transferred to the client.
The client is free to:
No credit to MRC Production is required, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
No royalties, licensing fees, or usage restrictions apply after final delivery, unless explicitly agreed upon in writing before the project begins.
All samples, loops, and sound elements used by MRC Production in the production are sourced from royalty-free or commercially licensed libraries and are cleared for commercial release. MRC Production will confirm this upon request.
The client bears sole responsibility for ensuring that any material they provide (vocals, samples, loops, stems, recordings) is cleared for commercial use and does not infringe on any third-party copyright. MRC Production assumes no liability for copyright claims arising from client-supplied material.
MRC Production retains the right to use short, anonymized, unreleased audio snippets of the work exclusively for private portfolio or promotional purposes (e.g. demonstrating production quality to prospective clients). If the client wishes to waive this right, they must request so in writing before the project begins, and MRC Production will confirm the waiver.
To ensure a smooth and efficient workflow, the client is required to fulfill the following obligations.
The brief must include:
An incomplete or unclear brief may delay the start of production. MRC Production will request clarification once; if the brief remains incomplete after a second request, the project timeline will be adjusted accordingly.
The client is expected to respond to messages and delivery notifications within a reasonable time (recommended: within 48–72 hours). Failure to respond may result in:
If the client does not provide feedback or formally request a revision within 10 days of the Final Version delivery, the delivered version will be considered automatically approved. Upon auto-approval:
The client is solely responsible for ensuring that all materials they provide are cleared for commercial use. MRC Production will not proceed with material that is visibly or knowingly infringing on third-party rights.
Failure to meet these responsibilities may affect the quality and outcome of the project, and may limit or void the client's eligibility for revisions or refunds.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Italy. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms, including disputes regarding refunds, rights, or service quality, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Venice (Venezia), Italy.
Before any formal escalation, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith written communication within 14 days of the dispute being raised. MRC Production commits to responding to any formal dispute notice within 5 business days.
MRC Production collects and processes personal data (name, email address, payment information) solely for the purpose of managing projects and processing payments. Data is not sold, shared, or used for marketing without explicit consent.
Payment data is processed exclusively through Stripe, which acts as an independent data processor under its own privacy and security standards. MRC Production does not store payment card details.
Clients have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data at any time by contacting info.mrcprod@gmail.com. Data is retained for the duration of the project and for a maximum of 5 years thereafter for accounting and legal compliance purposes, in accordance with Italian law.
MRC Production reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be published at mrcproduction.com with a revised effective date.
The version of these Terms in effect at the time of payment applies to that specific order. Subsequent updates do not apply retroactively to orders already in progress.
Clients are encouraged to review the current Terms before each new order.
